Despite some misunderstandings, they reconcile at the wedding reception and decide to give their relationship a chance.

Anyone but You Movie Review

“Anyone But You” is said to be inspired by Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” but let’s not dwell on that. This rom-com has a charmingly old-fashioned feel, reminiscent of classic films like “An Affair to Remember” and “Casablanca.” Bea, a law student, meets Ben, who works in finance, and they hit it off instantly. However, misunderstandings arise, leading to a rocky start. When their siblings begin dating, they find themselves thrown together again, this time at a destination wedding in Sydney. To navigate the awkward situation, they pretend to be a couple, leading to unexpected twists and turns. While “Anyone But You” may not break new ground, it’s driven by the charisma of its leads and offers plenty of laughs and romance.
