In the year 2067, Earth is in trouble due to a global famine caused by harming the environment. Joseph Cooper, a former astronaut, lives as a farmer with his children Tom and Murph, and father-in-law Donald. One day, during a dust storm, Cooper and Murph notice something strange in Murph’s room – a gravitational anomaly that leads them to a hidden NASA base. NASA’s plan is to find a new planet for humans beyond our solar system. They’re sending a team through a wormhole near Saturn to explore three possibly habitable planets. Cooper, with his experience, is asked to pilot the ship. Despite his struggles with leaving his children, he promises Murph he’ll return. Sadly, Murph is heartbroken and doesn’t say goodbye. Years later, the crew enters the wormhole and reaches the first planet, finding a dangerous ocean world. One of the crew members dies, and they encounter a time difference when they return to the spacecraft. Back on Earth in 2092, Murph, now grown up, helps solve a problem to save humanity. She learns from Dr. Brand that the mission’s true goal was to find a new home, not just gather data. Despite feeling abandoned by Cooper, Murph continues her work. On the second planet, they meet Dr. Mann, who lies about the planet’s condition. A fight breaks out, and Romilly dies. Mann tries to sabotage the mission but fails. Cooper and Amelia head to the third planet, facing more time dilation. Cooper sacrifices himself so Amelia can reach the planet. Cooper finds himself in a strange place where he communicates with Murph across time, realizing he initiated the mission. He gives her data to save humanity, encoded in his wristwatch. Cooper and TARS are rescued near Saturn in 2156. Cooper wakes up in a space station named after Murph. He decides to find Amelia on the third planet. Cooper and Amelia are finally reunited, starting a new life on the new world.
